Porcelaintoy is an innovative two-piece band based in Wellington.
Combining elements of indie, downbeat, and glitch, Porcelaintoy is led by singer/composer Elizabeth Judd on guitar and piano, with Emile de la Rey on electronics. The 2011 Fringe Festival will see the independent release of their album “Contrite Elegant Rebel”.
To celebrate the launch, Porcelaintoy has invited director Rachel Lenart of Theatre Militia and an exquisite troupe of talented performance artists, including a theatrical choir, dancers, and a string section lead by local cellists Charley Davenport and Dylan Lardelli.
‘Contrite Elegant Rebel’ will explore the new work of Porcelaintoy in a lush, intricate setting that mixes the organic and electronic in a seamless celebration of music and movement."
