Wellington has the hosting rights to the 2nd Asia Pacific Outgames from Saturday 12 March 2011 to Saturday 19 March 2011. This event will see over a thousand gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people from across Asia and the Pacific participating in a week of full-throttle sports competition, cultural events, spectacular shows, must-go parties and a human rights conference programme.

A first for the games is the inclusion of mountain biking. The event is supported by BikeNZ, the venue is Mt Victoria Town Belt and will include Expert, Sport and Recreational divisions. For more information check out www.wellingtonoutgames.com
