Dear colleagues,
In this current stressful situation, many Aucklanders are equally affected in different ways. Many Cantabrians, visitors, families and students are relocating to Auckland. Some may have friends and families directly affected by the tragedy; some just wanted to help. This is particularly more stressful for new migrants, other newcomers, former refugees and their friends and families.
If you are looking after someone from Christchurch or affected by the quake; or if you are a social services/supporting agencies who are experiencing stress due to the earthquake, we want you here. You have been invited to a meeting to discuss what we can do together to assist. We want to bring together a group of social services in Auckland who have the abilities, capabilities and commitment to support those in need.
Aim: To share what support is available, what you can do, and to hear what others can do and develop an action plan where necessary.
