Audition for Searching for Dr Brainovic by David Tristam.
This is another brilliantly funny script from David, where he returns to some of his favourite themes of identity, amnesia and the challenges facing detectives. All parts require high energy and excellent comic timing.
Cast:
Emma: Female, 25-45. Bright, quick-witted, feisty.
Joe: Male, 25-45. Husband of Emma, similarly bright and quick-witted.
Monroe: Male, 30-65. A detective inspector, cynical and somewhat put-upon. A wonderful character role.
Banister: Male or Female, 30-80. An undertaker and family friend of Emma and Joe. Likeable, gentle and endearing.
Branovic: Male, 30-60. An immigrant medical doctor, dry and sardonic and with a heavy accent. Written as Polish but other nationalities will be considered.
Season: Opens 11th June – 2nd July 2011
Auditions will be held at Dolphin Theatre, 12 Spring Street, Onehunga on Saturday 19th March 2011 @ 1.30pm.
