The Eternal announce 'Under a New Sun' New Zealand Tour.
Melbourne Dark rockers The Eternal are happy to announce the 'Under A New Sun' tour to coincide with the release of their new album. The band will commence 20 dates across Australia, New Zealand (for the first time) and Japan. The 3 dates in New Zealand are:
March 24th - Bodega, Wellington with support from Heathen Eyes, Fear of the Dark, Kobosh and Anastasia Elektra.
March 25th - 4.20, Auckland with support from Heathen Eyes, Blue Blood and Crimson Rain.
March 26th - Axcess, Hamilton with support from Heathen Eyes and Blue Blood.
The Eternal will release their 4th studio album 'Under A New Sun' on February 10th through Green Distribution in Australia and NZ & in Japan on SM Records, February 23rd. The band released the first single and video from the album in November for the title track of the album and have since received national airplay including Triple J.
‘Under A New Sun’ conceptually picks up where 'Kartika' left off with eastern influences, lashings of classic rock and an emotive lyrical approach. This album sees the band also experiment with new styles, combined with the colour, tone, textures and intricacies that have become the sound that defines The Eternal. In order to help them achieve their vision, The Eternal enlisted multi-instrumentalist, multi-platinum selling artist Jeff Martin (The Tea Party) to produce the album.
With a productive eight years as a band, three international tours, and three internationally acclaimed albums under their belt, 2011 is set to be a special year for the band with album number four proving to listeners and critics alike that The Eternal are a permanent, powerhouse fixture in the heavy rock scene.
‘Ladies and gentlemen, I proudly re-introduce The Eternal... The type of band I've been waiting to produce. For me, this was a creative working relationship that allowed me to realise an artist's vision and re-connect with past influences, all the while looking into the future...darkly. To put things lightly, The Eternal are the real deal.’ - Jeff Martin (The Tea Party)
