The latest production from the Black Friars Theatre Company, Six Lessons and A Wedding is the story of an unlikely observer who brings to life a cast of rogues, knaves and fools for our delectation. What are revealed are the hypocrisies, false pieties, greed, sycophancy, and sexual appetites of a Polynesian family wedding being conducted in a marquee in the backyard of a suburban property.
Six Lessons and a Wedding is running for a very limited season at Mangere Arts Centre – Ngā Tohu o Uenuku. Written by Michelle Johansson. Performed by Lauie Sila.
