Join us to hear this award-winning panel of authors Catherine Chidgey, Kelly Ana Morey and Tracey Slaughter, whose books include novels, short stories and poetry. They will read from current and published work and share their thoughts on one another’s writing, followed by questions from the audience. Especially for the event, Chidgey’s novel 'In a Fishbone Church', Morey’s novel 'Quinine' and Slaughter’s collection of short stories and poems 'Her Body Rises' will be on sale, while a special prize of all three is being gifted to a lucky ticket holder.
Catherine Chidgey will read from her novel-in-progress set in Berlin in the 1930s and '40s. It has no title yet so come and help Catherine and the panel decide on one! Kelly Ana Morey will read from her novel 'Quinine', a darkly funny post-modern homage to the history novel set in New Guinea pre-WWI. Finally, Tracey Slaughter will read from her prize-winning short story 'Note Left on a Window', detailing a woman’s grief and rage over her boyfriend’s death.
