Due to much public demand, this month we welcome back Auckland sweethearts Alaska. These kids have won the hearts of many, so you best be prepared to float away into an Alaskan dream you'll never want to wake from. They have a free EP up for download, I highly recommend you give it a listen: http://alaskanz.bandcamp.com/
Wellingtonian/currently Auckland-based Robbie Lawton will be taking the stage, much to my and many others' absolute delight. This guy has some pipes! Jeff Buckley anyone?
Also joining the March line-up is Sarah McElwain, who has recently recorded 'The Lighthouse' EP over in Nashville, Tennessee. 'Inspired from her native New Zealand, this EP presents an eclectic mix of ambience and soul'. Free download available here: http://sarahmcelwain.bandcamp.com/
Wild card Josiah Toclo has been playing solo and collaborating with other regular musicians at Zeal over the past few years. He really plays some beautiful music & if his new material he was jamming the other day is anything to go by, ya'll should make a point of showing up early.
Jessie Kate is no newbie to the Zeal stage, having performed numerous times as half of the acoustic folk duo Lemon Pie. Her new solo set is rumoured to feature a ukulele. I'm sold.
We will have an open mic at the end of the night. Sign up on the blackboard on the night if you're keen to play a few songs.
Coffees, hot drinks & Jamee's old fashioned milkshakes will be for sale on the night. All ages - no alcohol or drugs.
See you there!
