The legendary Jambalaya festival is back! For the first time in Auckland, Jambalaya is excited to offer you a jam-packed weekend of international and national artists, workshops, music, circus, craft and world food.

This is your one chance this summer to learn and be part of the experience that is Jambalaya in a creative, inclusive and absolutely fun environment. Your festival pass will allow you to participate in as many workshops as you like. From a huge variety of dance and music workshops, your mind will be buzzing and your body humming.

This year the festival is set in the beautiful bush-surrounded Corban Estate, with an outdoor main stage, huge sprung floored studios and a theatre for dance performance.

Once again we have gathered the most inspiring and dynamic line up of artists and tutors from New Zealand and around the world, chosen as much for their skills as their ability to leave you buzzing with new found passions.

Workshops include: Tango, Swing, Beat Boxing, Hip Hop, Dance Hall, Salsa, Contemporary, A Capella Singing, Samba drumming, African, Flying Trapeze and many more.

You will also get to see an outstanding line up of bands. From the infectious Folk/Gypsy/Punk legends Barons of Tang, the energetic Afro-Columbian Rock/Roots all-stars Watussi, to our very own sensational Batucada Sound Machine, The Hot Grits, Thaumatology and more.

And if you have energy left, GeorgeFM presents the Late Night Sessions to keep you going with exclusive DJ sets from Maya and Vanya, Nick D, Uncle Barnie, Cian, Bobbie Brazuka and more!

There is camping on site in a beautiful wooded area, or stay at the Festival Hotel. Kids under 13 free with a wonderful programme specifically for them…

Don’t miss out on your chance to BE part of the festival!

Jambalaya – Festival of Rhythm and Dance.

You don’t just watch it, you ARE it!

For more info, please visit www.jambalaya.co.nz

Camping Pass
The Jambalaya campground is set amongst shade trees with a permanent toilet and shower block. Five minutes walk from the festival site; it makes it easy to feel like you are out of Auckland and in festival land…

While the festival might be going all night, the campsite will be a place to relax, quiet, friendly and securely fenced with 24-hour security.

Your camping pass allows you to camp Friday 4th, Saturday 5th, and Sunday 6th. The pass is $30 per person regardless of how many nights you camp. Children under 13 are free (must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).

Your camping pass also gets you entry in to the Friday night pre festival party, which is exclusive to campers and Jambalaya Summer Camp participants.

If you have booked a camping pass please see the website for directions to the site,- you can go there directly and present your camping e-ticket at the gate.

Remember, this is a Zero Waste event - think carefully about what you bring on site: No Alcohol (there will be bars on site)

Bring all picnics and water in reusable containers. Water refills available onsite. BYO coffee mug - you may even get a discount for having one.

Parking will be $5.00 per car which goes directly in to our environment plan fund. We encourage you to carpool or take public transport instead - info on the Jambalaya website.
