Coatesville Classic Half Marathon and Fun Run 2011

2011 is the 20th anniversary of the Coatesville 8km fun run & walk, and Kids' 2km Dash. Running Events is marking it in style with a stunning new half marathon course, and the luxury of a road closure for all distances, so runners and walkers alike can enjoy the panoramic rural scenery in safety and tranquility.

We've got it all worked out to make race day truly memorable. The Classic Half Marathon is perfectly scheduled - six months out from the Auckland Marathon and timed to slot into your training schedule for the Aussie season. We have a quality race medal and great spot prizes for finishers.

The full road closure is a real (and rare) treat for runners and walkers, especially families taking advantage of our special packages for adults and kids doing the Classic together.

The Classic Kids' 2km Dash is timed so the rest of the athletes are back at the Coatesville Reserve race venue to cheer the juniors out and over the finish line. And every kid who finishes gets a medal, too, because we know how important and exciting those first events are to a kid - we want them to have a momento they can be proud to show around and an experience that sets them out on a lifetime of fitness.
