Injecting a touch of dynamism into the city streets, Viewfinder, as part of Auckland Arts Festival, will project a specially selected survey of moving image works into Auckland’s public spaces 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the duration of the Festival and beyond.

Since 2004, Viewfinder have been engaging the public in contemporary moving image culture with their screenings from the window frontage of Auckland City Library. Curated by the New Zealand Film Archive.

Viewfinder shows works by a wide range of New Zealand and international artists including: Jill Kennedy (NZ), Tessa Laird (NZ), Steve Carr (NZ), Amelia Harris (NZ), Tyler Fox (US), Christina Read (UK), Gwen Norcliffe (NZ), Richard Maloy (NZ), Murray Hewitt (NZ), Sam Hamilton & Eve Gordon (NZ), Ryuzo Nishida (Japan/NZ), Campbell Farquhar (NZ), Annie Bradley (NZ), Colin Hodson (NZ), Clinton Watkins (NZ), Kylie Duncan (NZ). Sonia Yating Shi (NZ) and Richard Orjis (NZ).
