As part of the Auckland Fringe Festival 2011.
Voices echo through the cold halls, visions of the past colour every dank shadow; blind, empty and alone a young governess reaches out for the spectres of her past. Beautiful, lyrical and deeply chilling, one of the most famous ghost stories ever written is given new life on the stage.
Oscar Wilde called James’ original story ‘a most wonderful, lurid, poisonous little tale’ now masterfully recreated using live music, movement and puppetry from a sterling ensemble cast.
See Fringe brochure page 23 for full details.
