Recognised internationally as a rising soloist and chamber musician, 26-year-old Italian guitarist Alberto Mesirca is joined by esteemed musicians Uwe Grodd and Martin Rummel to perform works by composers Regondi, Giuliani, Paganini,Tedesco and Albèniz.

26-year-old Italian guitarist Alberto Mesirca completed his Bachelor and Master of Arts with highest honours at the Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto. He pursued further study at the Music Academy of Kassel, Germany, with Wolfgang Lendle and was nominated in 2009 as the Young Artist of the Year at the Aalborg International Guitarfestival (Denmark), Twents Gitaar Festival (Holland) and the Encs Guitar Festival (Hungary). He was also nominated as the Rising Star at the Forum Gitarre Wien (Austria). Mesirca’s international awards have included the Peredur Preis fuer Junge Kuenstler and two Golden Guitar awards for Best Recording (2007) and Best Upcoming Artist of the Year (2009).
As a soloist Mesirca has performed all over Europe and as a chamber musician he has collaborated with many great artists including Dimitri Ashkenazy, Vladimir Mendelssohn, Matthias Schulz (Wiener Philharmoniker), Martin Rummel, Peter Giger, Robert Fripp and the League of Crafty Guitarists and Marco de Santi. Mesirca has recorded live broadcasts for RAI (Italy), Radio 3 (Italy), Hessischer Rundfunk HR2 (Germany), ORF (Austria), AVRO4 (Holland) and Hungarian National Television, and has recorded many CDs.
