They were a one hit wonder who never had a hit. The girl group who weren’t really a group. In 1977 four intermediate school girls from a mid sized New Zealand provincial town got their big break when someone flicked a switch 10 minutes early during the live telethon broadcast. Instead of Suzanne Prentice a rag tag group of tap dancing, loveable pre teens went live to the nation.
It’s been 30 years since then and 25 years since their last performance ended in chaos.
In the intervening quarter century they’ve gone in very different directions and one of them has even achieved real fame. Now because of her, they’re getting back together to play one last concert.
Ladies and gentlemen “...Introducing The Sheralees”
