Manawatu Overtones Annual Concert

Music brings back special memories in our lives. "May You Always Have a Song" is the title of this year's concert. It has a personal touch this year and the theme of it is based on a story which has been woven around our oldest member, who has recently had a significant birthday. This story flows through the concert, and links the songs together. It is a tribute to her, and she will be involved in the acting out of the story.

Manawatu Overtones is the only women's barbershop group in the city, and there will be a selection of songs covering from the 1930s through to modern day songs, including a couple of Abba songs.

As well as the Manawatu Overtones, there will also be three other groups featured in this concert. They are: the ukulele group called Ukephoria, the male barbershop group called the Manawatunes, and the jazz group called the Wheel Tappers.

As well as being able to purchase tickets from Beggs, door sales will be available.
