Magik Johnson & Hip Hop Hill are the Nark

This week we’ve got two legends of the Auckland DJ scene.

Dick Johnson needs no introduction- even though he’s originally of English origin we still claim him as one of NZ’s most successful producers internationally. He’s been a fixture in electronic music for decades, and has completed remixes for some of the biggest names in the world. Usually renown for knocking out killer house sets, down at Nark he’ll be digging deep in the crates for a diverse musical journey of his influences old and new.

Next up, something very special also from a man that also needs no lead in. Sam Hill has been playing out since the '80s, and has played almost every club/festival/international support slot you can name, with his mixture of house/electro and the likes. However not many people know, that back in the '80s before dedicating himself to dance music, Sam Hill was a hip hop DMC champion, beating out the likes of Manuel Bundy and such greats. For one night only this week, Sam Hill is taking up the turntables again to show us how it was done on a hip hop tip back in the day.

Also in support in the front bar we have Mr Jono Legge, as well as residents Farley and The Lost Boys

Headlining the back bar we’ve got Propa’s main man Mike E (Up fm), as well as residents Mad World, Mystery Guest, and Jake & Josh. So add that shit up and we’ve got:
