Victoria Girling-Butcher and Lindon Puffin may have recorded with the sameband, producers, engineer, in the same studio, but no one can accuse them ofimitation.
The distinctive songwriters came up with vastly different albums, Summit Drive(VG-B) and Hope Holiday (LP).
On November 25 the pair are holding a release show at Backbeat Bar where theywill showcase their differences and celebrate the musical contributions of thetalented musicians that helped make the albums.
Summit Drive is the first album from Victoria Girling-Butcher since moving onfrom former band of ten years, Lucid3. The album was recorded withmusicans/producers Jol Mulholland and Wayne Bell, and guitarist AndrewKeoghan. Mark Hughes will join the live band.
Having finished a highly successful fundraising tour of the country withfellow Lyttelton musicians ŒThe Harbour Union¹, Lindon Puffin turns hisattention to releasing his third album 'Hope Holiday¹. Lindon will perform atBackbeat with his live band, The Transgressions. He has supported Billy Bragg,Tenacious D, Anika Moa, Dave Dobbyn and has twice been judged live performerof the year (04 & 07).
