Explore some of Auckland’s best attractions in a unique day out which will take you over land and sea!
Travel back in time and retrace the steps of a rough and rugged sailor, an early Auckland trading settler or an intrepid explorer in this exciting new tour!
Start your journey at Voyager Maritime Museum located in the Viaduct Harbour on Auckland’s beautiful waterfront and discover how our nation’s relationship with the sea has shaped our history and identity.
Next climb aboard an heritage bus and experience an authentic journey to Auckland’s Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT). There you will explore how New Zealand’s technology and transport legacy has changed the face of our nation forever.
The bus ride continues to The Riverhead Historic Tavern, which has been in operation for over 150 years. Here you will enjoy a delicious meal overlooking the upper reaches of Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour, in one of New Zealand’s oldest licensed establishments.
On the final leg of your journey board the Riverhead Ferry for a unique on water experience, taking in the sights of our stunning harbour before disembarking back at Voyager Maritime Museum.
Dates and spaces are limited so book now to avoid disappointment*! Email: bookings@motat.org.nz or phone: +64 9 815 5808.
*Please note tours are subject to availability at the time of booking and minimum numbers are required for the operation of each tour. Bookings are essential. A moderate level of fitness is required as there are steps to climb from the tavern to the ferry.
