Where is it?
The northern end of Mission bay beach, Auckland, New Zealand, Planet Earth (near the old black stone loos).

What is it?
A BBQ get together for and by Kiwiburn participants, a chance for new faces to meet existing members of our burner community (most of us only bite if you ask nicely). It's self-reliant, Burner do-ocracy, gift economy-style. After all, we're out to ed-ju-ma-cate them virgins on how we 'do it'.

If you are a prospective volunteer or a virgin burner "noobie" who wants to meet burners and learn more about Burningman and Kiwiburn, this picnic is for you. These are not festivals as you know them, rather it’s an experimental community experience.

What to wear:
Burners are non-conformers who posses any, every and no fashion sense. Latest news from the paddock is that “this year colour is in and Sparkles are back”

What to Bring:
Under the principal of self-sufficiency we ask you bring your friends, your family (yes we are kid friendly), food and drink. An open mind and sunscreen are required, sunglasses are optional.

What is provided?
It is a lovely beach with a shower and loos. Under the principal of community sharing I will bring the BBQ.

Once it gets dark our fire friends will light up the night.
