Matariki Hospitality Industry Awards

In its 5th year, The Matariki Hospitality Industry Awards are about recognising the standard and achievements of those in our region who strive to be the best. These are the ultimate awards of industry excellence in hospitality recognising the following categories:

• Nestle Professional Caterer of the Year
• Penguin Wholesalers Service Person of the Year
• Northland Schools Recognition of Training
• Penguin Wholesalers Restaurant Manager / Maitre'd of the Year
• Innovative Chef of the Year
• Hospitality Ambassador of the Year
• Gastro Pub of the Year
• Bidvest Cafe of the Year
• Pernod Ricard (NZ) Restaurant of the Year
• Radio Network People’s Choice Award *New*

Previously, only hospitality industry business owners and employees were able to nominate and vote for each of the categories but this year sees the addition of the People’s Choice Award which allows the general public to nominate and vote for the hospitality person or business they believe deserves recognition. Nomination and voting for all other categories will remain open to the hospitality industry only.

There are still limited sponsorship opportunities for businesses wanting to take a forefront leadership role in local talent in Northland with a comprehensive package of benefits available.

Voting has now closed for the hospitality industry.
