Chance Visitor is a drama by the Russian author Aleksei Arbuzov.
Set in a suburb of Lenningrad in the early 1980s, this is a profound drama of family crisis. Superbly acted it is remarkably thoughtful production of a comfortable middle class family that is torn apart when the husband and father Volodya discovers deep love with a colleague at work. A chance visitor provides the catalyst that frees Lubya to face the future without her husband of 26 years.
Passionately acted it is a riveting piece of theatre that explores the emotions of all concerned.
