Help MOTAT celebrate its volunteers and their valuable contribution to preserving Auckland’s transport and technology heritage!

MOTAT is offering free museum entry for all for the month of June only. This refers to general admission only, and excludes booked school groups, birthday parties and functions.

A highlight of the month will be Sunday the 19th of June, where all of MOTAT’s volunteers will be in action. For example, you can:

• Take a ride on MOTAT’s magnificent steam train
• Experience a ride on an historic military vehicle
• Ride on MOTAT’s newly restored double decker tram and on MOTAT’s fleet of Auckland heritage trams
• Take home a souvenir printed right here in the MOTAT printing press workshop
• Try your hand at the art of bookbinding in a bookbinding workshop
• Etiquette lessons in Oriel’s Tearooms and Devonshire Tea for purchase at the café
• Visit the Walsh Memorial Library to view some fascinating photographs and publications, and to chill out in comfortable surrounds.

Are you interested in being a MOTAT volunteer? Check out www.motat.org.nz, email hr@motat.org.nz or phone 09 815 5815.
