InterMission Forum #4: Discussing work as peers.
How do we discuss, as peers, each others' work in a meaningful and supportive way to encourage greater rigour in our practice?
This question will be explored through a forum discussing the recent performance project Death and the Dreamlife of Elephants as a means of fostering an informed and rigorous dialogue about each other’s work.
We invite all performance/theatre artists, artists to join us for these conversations.
What is InterMission?
The Wellington Producers Room presents InterMission - a series of free facilitated forums between emerging and established theatre practitioners, where we meet and address questions of critical importance for the success of our artform in New Zealand, for ourselves as practitioners within the theatre sector, and to ensure the delivery of quality art experiences to our audiences.
The discussions will encourage values of honesty, concrete specificity, generosity and curiosity, so that those involved can interrogate their own work with the group present. And through this process, consequently, build a space where we come together communally to interrogate and evolve our work.
These forums are supported by Creative Communities funding through Creative NZ and Wellington City Council.
