Blues Night

The Capital Blues comes to town – featuring ‘Manalishi’ and ‘The Red Dogs Saloon Band’.

Manalishi performs the blues years of Fleetwood Mac:

‘Manalishi’ pay tribute to the wonderful blues from the early era of Fleetwood Mac. Their set list covers the full range of material from that time, ranging from two songs performed by Peter Green while still with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers all the way through to the last songs recorded by Peter with the band.

And The Red Dogs Saloon Band:

Neil Billington: Well-known blues harmonica legend Billington fronts the Red Dogs Saloon Band.

Dougal Speir: After finding notoriety and some fame with the legendary Mangaweka’s, Dougal has played with just about everybody from Sonny Day to Darren Watson and then some.

Eliotte Fuimaono: The “Big Easy”, rock solid and so, so musical, the in-demand bass player for every occasion and a great singer to boot.

Roger Watkins: Me “Two-and-Four Rules” – don’t expect solos and flash, just a solid groove and great feel that comes from years on the scene. He’s most at home these days with nailing down the blues groove of the Dogs.
