Hand painted textile panels by Ian Moore, Kris Calder and Estelle Pretorius. These panels, exhibited in the Becroft gallery, were then hand-embroidered by many different participants of many ethnicities across the Auckland region.
This 18th month-long art and embroidery project called 'Connecting Communities Through Stitch" involved local and migrant/refugee communities across the Auckland region. The key element being its all inclusive element, not just refugee/immigrants but also people with physical, intellectual and mental need. A sense of belonging to New Zealand as a whole.
