A master class with one of America's pre-eminent blues songwriters.
On the creative side, Doug teaches the students his way to build songs from a simple one chord feel to a more complex harmonically gospel type feel. He encourages the students to write from their hearts and their own experiences. Students also learn Doug's unique way of letting it flow. As he says, "you know, sometimes there is more than one song coming, so don't edit 'til it's time to."
On the business side, the students will also learn some important basic information about copyrights, publishing, and performance organisations.
