The Rotorua Blues Festival offers a leisurely two hour cruise aboard the Crown Jewel of Lake Cruising, the Lakeland Queen. Modelled on the Mississippi river boats which are shallow draft, stern driven paddle steamers designed for shallow rivers, the boat is ideal for Lake Rotorua with its shallow lakebed.
Indulge in some delicious treats especially prepared by our chef, and a glass of wine (or two). During the cruise you can party to the Blues of ‘The Downhome Blues Revue’, delivered by a group of New Zealand's most respected acoustic blues musicians combining their talents. Together they present a dynamic show stretching from the earthy sounds of the Mississippi Delta to contemporary Kiwi blues.
Extraordinary musicians with some surprise special guest appearances thrown in. This show will delight lovers of blues, old and new.
