Always a Festival favourite, this is the event that puts the ‘Queen’ in Queenstown. It’s an invitation-only, high-speed dash around the park over strategically placed obstacles by usually reserved local gentlemen who race in high heels, skirts of questionable length and wild hair and make-up. Fiercely competitive and totally hilarious.
A note to the men of Queenstown - Invitations will be sent out in April to the carefully selected group of gentlemen within our community who we believe fit the very stringent specifications of a Drag Racer – stand by your mailboxes, men – it could be you!
This year we’ve added a prequel to the Dragsters with the QRC Hospitality Race which will see local hotels battle it out to be crowned Queenstown’s best in this mad-capped relay event featuring housekeeping staff, porters and waiters…
