A fundraising exhibition of watercolours to assist the Christchurch Earthquake Fund.

Artist's statement:
Like all of us, I have been overcome with feelings of sadness and helplessness. To see the devastating images of the city in which I was raised and the suffering of its people is horrific. There had to be something I could do instead of digging long drops in backyards, for which I am too old. Then I remembered my several sketchpads filled with drawings of some of the wonderful buildings I took for granted as a young fellow.

If these paintings can revive the fond emotions and memories that others and I have for the Christchurch that I remember, then I will feel that I have done something.

With the assistance of Jonathan Grant Galleries, a percentage of each painting sold will be donated to the Christchurch Earthquake Fund.
