Niche Productions is proud to present young indie/electro/soul singer Fantine, who will embark on her first ever headline tour to promote her second single, “Eleven.” The tour will include WA, NSW, QLD, VIC, and SA, along with a short trip across the ocean to Auckland, New Zealand.

After a whirlwind 2010 that saw Fantine tour Australia as guest vocalist and co-writer with Space Invadas (featuring Katalyst and Steve Spacek) which included performances at Days Like This, Playground Weekender, Future Music, Golden Plains, Splendour in the Grass, and support slots with Lupe Fiasco, the time has come for Fantine to take the stage solo.

February 2011 saw the release of Fantine’s debut single Rubberoom. Following this is her brand new single Eleven. Eleven delves into the superstition and mysticism of the number “Eleven.”

Fantine (full name Fantine Pritoula) was born in Moscow to a Russian father and a Dominican mother.

Fantine spent her youth travelling and living in three countries she now calls home: Russia, the Dominican Republic, and Australia.

Adapting to new surroundings comes easily to Fantine, and she is not afraid to discover the new and explore the unknown. Her sense of worldliness comes from absorbing the elements of the cultures that surround her and making them her own.

Fluent in Russian, Spanish, English, and French, Fantine is a unique talent with a musical style that reflects her cultural diversity. Described as a fusion of indie and electro soul, Fantine maintains an organic sound that is produced through the natural timbre of her voice. Hoping to connect in some way to everyone who listens to her music, Fantine uses her passion for writing music as an outlet for self expression and places great emphasis on the lyrics she writes.

"Immensely remarkable, the bonus is she has the songs and the charisma to be successful on the world stage real, and witnessing her set felt like seeing a star on the rise."
- Chris Familton, Drum Media - Live Review

"Fantine looks every bit the up-to-the-minute pop diva in her debut video with an edgy look that recalls Kelis in some of her most recent visual outings."
- AusPop Blogspot

"I saw Fantine at The Oxford Art Factory. She has the best voice I've heard in years. Performance was great and love the eyes!"
- Jamie Slater, Triple J Radio Unearthed Review

Fantine will shortly announce her collaboration with one the UK’s top indie producers.
