A public programme where participants can learn, play and perform varied forms of entertainment that were commonly used during Matariki celebrations. These will include traditional Maori games and waiata. Explanations of the meanings and purpose of the items will be delivered during the programme.

Games: Potaka – spinning tops, Whai – string games, mu torere – board games, kaimakamaka – Knuckle bones, waeroa – flax toy making.
