If you haven't been to a SENZ before, what is it all about? Getting crafty, being inspired, and getting some creative retail therapy! If you are interested in papercrafts, doll-making, jewellery designing, or just want to buy some ready-made crafts, then check out SENZ2011.
What can you do at SENZ?
Classes: 87of 'em to book into! Check out the website and book in now! There are scrapbooking, card making, stamping, home decor, mixed media art, altered art...we have visiting tutors from the USA, Australia and all over NZ.
Shopping: With exhibitors coming from all over NZ, and one from Australia, selling scrapbooking and craft supplies, as well as crafts such as wall art, jewellery, soaps, cupcakes and more.
Demos: All the stallholders have free demonstrations on their stalls, plus there is a free demo theatre with different presentations every half hour. This is your chance to learn and find out some new techniques.
Make 'n' takes: These are like mini-classes at the stalls, where you make a small project. Most will be provided at $1- $5 or some will be free if you have purchased products or classes from that vendor.
Fundraising for Kidz First Children's Hospital: We are once again supporting the local children's ward at Middlemore Hospital! We will be having a raffle with tickets on sale at the info desk, and gold coin donations for bag minding.
Competitions and getting creative before SENZ: There is always a pin competition at SENZ and this year will be no different! There are two competitions, one for the most pinned person and one for the best pin (the minimum you have to make is 10 all the same, to make it fair for those that go hard out in the swapping!).
"Mid Winter Christmas" Craft 'n Crop Night: Saturday night from 6.45pm, bring your craft kit and create the night away. Challenges, games and get dressed up in your best mid winter Christmas outfits. $20 per person (includes supper).
