Matariki: Exploring Our Stories is a literary event featuring leading Maori writers. It explores Matariki and the role of story-telling and oratory in Maori culture through readings and discussion.

Stellar Maori writers Ben Brown, Robert Sullivan and Reina Whaitiri join Maori Television's Carol Hirschfeld to talk about Matariki, the role of oratory and story-telling in Maori culture, and to read from works they love or have written themselves.

For details of the other literary events, performances, visual exhibitions and workshops in the two-week series being organised by these organisations visit the Matariki Festival website.
