Matariki is a time to celebrate new beginnings as the new year dawns, signalled by the arrival of the Seven Sisters in the night sky. In looking above and beyond the horizon we find new vigour for the coming year. This exhibition presents the work of four Maori artists who weave new ideas into contemporary and traditional styles in a stunning collection of mixed media, photography and harakeke.
