Tasmin Little - violin

UK violinist Tasmin Little has played with many of the world's greatest orchestras in a career that has taken her to every continent of the world. She is visiting New Zealand as an adjudicator for the Michael Hill International Violin Competition.

Tasmin's ambitious and ground-breaking project The Naked Violin has been hailed as revolutionary. It has received an extraordinary amount of media interest since its release in 2008, including a television documentary on the prestigious South Bank Show. Tasmin received the 2008 Classic FM Gramophone Award for Audience Innovation for this project. Tasmin Little is presented in association with the 2011 Michael Hill International Violin Competition and with our regional partners: Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, Hamilton Chamber Music Society, Wellington Chamber Music.
