The Blackbird Ensemble presents: The Duino Elegies with Andrew Keoghan
A 23 piece orchestra perform works by Radiohead, Philip Glass, Thomas Newman, Bjork, Nick Cave and more.
Blackbird Ensemble moves beyond traditional classical performance and transitions between rock, avantguarde pop, film soundtrack and classical works. Comprising of some of NZ’s finest young classical and jazz musicians, including Murray Hickman and Matthew Ledingham.
Inspiration for the show is based on text from Rilke’s Duino elegies, with readings of his work being performed by Oliver Driver.
Special guest Andrew Keoghan.
