Stagecraft Theatre presents
“The Rise and Fall of Little Voice”
by Jim Cartwright
Directed by Mark Da Vanzo
6 – 16 July 2011
The play that inspired the motion picture Little Voice, starring Jane Horrocks and Brenda Blethyn.
Painfully shy Little Voice lives alone with her imposing mother who drives her into her bedroom, listening to her beloved father's records.
When a small-time impresario hears her faultless impersonation of famous singers, he determines to exploit her golden voice but the whirlwind rush for success comes with a cost….
Hilariously funny, and achingly poignant, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice is a warm-hearted drama accompanied by a fantastic soundtrack.
Bookings at www.stagecraft.co.nz or ph 0508iticket (0508 484253).
