Felix The Quartet is a Wellington-based group made up from NZSO members, led by NZSO Concertmaster Vesa-Matti Leppanen, with Rebecca Struthers (second violin), Andrew Thomson (viola) and Rowan Prior (cello).
Their concert for the Waikanae Music Society is called "Beethoven Inspirations" and features two Beethoven String Quartets (Opus 18 and Opus 59) plus the 5th Quartet of Aulis Sallinen, a contemporary Finnish composer who was inspired by the music of Beethoven.
This concert is part of a nation-wide Chamber Music New Zealand tour.
