Auckland Museum comes alive on the first Thursday evening of each month with the popular series, LATE at the Museum. Last year's LATE season welcomed a year-long investigation into the theme of innovation – featuring panel discussions with this country’s leading innovators and music by our top performers. This year’s season of LATE at the Museum sees us respond to topical issues and collection and exhibition themes.

Smart talk:
Special guest author Julian Cribb discusses Earth’s Gravest Challenge and whether we can avert the imminent food crisis. Finlay McDonald asks Professor Julian Cribb to discuss how water sustainability affects us globally and locally. Why will food become more expensive and scarce in years to come and what can be done now to conserve our resources? The discussion will cover the challenge facing civilisation, how it is being covered in the media and the latest facts and figures on the emerging global food crisis.

Great music:
LATE music will open with a performance from Tiny Ruins, the project of New Zealand musician & songwriter, Hollie Fullbrook.

Carolina Moon, one of Auckland's premier world music ensembles, will perform a spellbinding collection of songs from ancient sources, reflective of the spirit of 'Aqua' and the global community touched by the scope of this exhibition.

Aqua:
Our new exhibition Aqua will be open with three sessions available: 6.30pm, 9pm, 9.30pm. Tickets will be available on the night (charges apply).

Entry via atrium.
