This powerful exhibition is the result of a collaboration between rangatahi in alternative education and practising artists, committed to using their skills to mentor youth. The 10 rangatahi and artist-mentor partnerships use photography, aerosol art, animation, nga toi Maori and abstract painting to give voice to those who are not always heard, and show the world through the eyes of those who are not always seen.
The Sole Project: The Exhibition is part the Nga Rangatahi Toa Creative Arts Initiative 2011 arts programme, providing transformational life experiences for rangatahi through one-to-one mentoring in creative arts.
