Celebrating the beauty of Schubert.
Michael Endres is judged as the equal of the world’s foremost Schubert interpreters - incredibly, he now lives in New Zealand. His inaugural tour showcases his expertise in the middle European Romantic tradition, with Gareth Farr’s Sepuluh Jari demonstrating he’s already found the best of New Zealand.
The programme includes Four Impromptus (Opus 90) by Franz Schubert, Franz Liszt’s Sonata in B-minor and Louis Moreau Gottschalk’s Bamboula, Souvenir de Puerto Rico and Souvenir d’Andalousie.
‘The performances with the pianist Michael Endres were revelatory.’ - New York Times
