Noi-Z-Nativz

Noi-Z NativZ is a 4 piece band that performs a wide range of popular music, both contemporary and classic. Each member is an expert in their field of music and when combined together, create a sound that is distinctly theirs; hence the title ‘Auckland’s Grooviest Rock Band!’ Their ‘trade mark’ sound and vibe they create when playing is sure to get you charged and ready to dance and rock to a Cock & Bull near you.

Band members:

Ron Ututaonga: lead vocals; Ron has an incredible range (for a guy) which allows Ron to perform both male and female songs comfortably and with passion. This is well received from the female patrons, giving the NativZ the ability to perform well to both genders.

Hirini (Syd) Johnson: lead guitars/ vocals; Hirini is a product of the “Virtuoso Guitar” era, modelling himself around guitar heroes such as; Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Sharing the role of lead vocalist makes for a commanding contribution to the performance.

Siaosi Tofi: drums/ vocals; after years of playing, Siaosi has created his own unique style of approach to playing drums. His fluid rhythms, liquid manoeuvres and driving beats gives the listener no choice but to dance the night away with the NativZ.

Max Fa-avae: bass guitar; skilled in both piano and bass guitar allows Max a melodic approach to his instrument. Working in closely with Siaosi, the bass and drum combination have developed a synergy that provides a solid, funky foundation, hence the title...
