Z Factor is an exciting new initiative that encompasses all disciplines of the creative arts, and is designed to unlock and develop a creativity within the youth that is unique and never before seen in the creative realm. Z Factor incorporates a mentoring program that is designed to establish students in the core values of leadership, based on biblical principles. Mentors are trained by accredited youth mentors who have experience in working with youth in places such as YMCA and the MYND Trust. Through creative arts forums and initiatives, the Z Factor program is tailored to equip and empower people of all ages and from all walks of life to be global leaders. The Z Factor program is dedicated to inspiring and activating young people to fulfil their dreams, and uncover their unique expression of creativity.
Z Factor is appropriately named as it illustrates something that is beyond the "x" factor, and is derived from the word "zenith", which generally describes the absolute pinnacle of all things. Z Factor represents a showcasing of the absolute zenith of talent that our students are capable of. The Z Factor showcases the following four main elements of creative arts: show choir, dance, multimedia and fashion. Z Factor incorporates "Glee"-type elements, providing a platform for schools to showcase a spectacular fusion of the different disciplines of creative arts.
Z Factor has 2 sectors: intermediate schools & secondary schools. Each sector will have 12 performing groups, which means there are only 12 spots to fill for each sector! For the schools, we are only taking 12 schools per sector, which means spots are limited! These 12 schools will then take part in what is promising to be an exciting and innovative program and show!
There is a registration fee involved, but a very minimal price compared to what students can create and the experience they can be a part of! Prizes will be given to winning schools, and spot prizes to outstanding creative artists!
