New Zealand’s top culinary students are set to cook up a storm in a bid to take out the prestigious top spot at the annual Nestlé Toque d’Or event.
Also joining them will be a team from the Cook Islands who will be hoping to take the top prize offshore. It’s the first time that an overseas team will compete in the live cook off. Teams of three students will aim to beat the clock and prepare six covers of a three-course meal within two-and-a-half hours
With 17 of the country’s finest culinary professionals on the judging panel scrutinising competitors’ every move, there will be no room for error.
