CRC Speedshow

It’s the biggest, most exciting and diverse auto and bike show in the country! And it returns to Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds for one must-see weekend on 23 and 24 July.

Speedshow celebrates its fifth birthday in 2011, and with the support of CRC, puts together another multi-million dollar line-up of rare, cool and fast cars and motorcycles. Historic racers, thundering off-roaders, hot rods and gnarly motocross bikes appear alongside bling drifters, wicked road bikes and sleek sports cars.

This year’s CRC Speedshow features some very special motorsport treats. A Lotus Renault GP Formula 1 race car stars in its famous black and gold livery. The F1 show car is being transported to New Zealand especially for the show by local Renault importers MotorCorp.

Kiwi star racer Shane Van Gisbergen is a very special guest at CRC Speedshow. Van Gisbergen gets among the action, racing simulators and trying out whatever vehicle he can lay his hands on in the Ezybuy Car Auctions live action arena. One of his SP Tools Falcon race cars will also be on display alongside various exciting products from sponsor SP Tools as well as merchandise from his V8 Supercars team Stone Brothers Racing through The Blue Oval Store.

There are more exciting opportunities to meet star drivers with the all-new New Zealand race series, the V8SuperTourers, which is bringing Kiwi V8 racing legend Greg Murphy and NZ champions like John McIntyre, Andy Booth and Paul Manuell to meet their fans.

Test your skills on the race simulators, put your name in the many excellent prize draws run by Speedshow’s passionate exhibitors and be ready to shop from the amazing array of new cars and motorbikes, motorsport and motoring-related merchandise, accessories and specialist services. Bring the whole family – there’s plenty for children to do and see.

The Ezybuy Car Auctions live action arena features numerous demonstrations and competitions each day. The drift stars of D1NZ will delight many with their high octane demo runs. An expanded outdoor display area showcases the best 4WD vehicles and accessories – all you need to get into 4WDing. Take an exhilarating ride through a specially-designed 4WD trials course with an expert competitor.
