John Sellars is a self-made millionaire who figures that if money can’t buy happiness, at least it can keep his kid in line. Nathan is a smart-mouthed fifteen-year-old who’s just been expelled from his third school this year.

When John hires a washed-out, Daihastu-driving hippy to save Nathan’s maths grades, three opposing mindsets go head-to-head in a comedy of (bad) manners, modern education and parenthood.

Acclaimed satire from the writer of Seven Periods With Mr Gormsby, Le Sud and Bro’ Town.

By arrangement with: Playmarket

Written by Dave Armstrong
Directed by Patrick Davies
Featuring Phil Vaughan and Jason Whyte

The Tutor was commissioned by Circa Theatre, Wellington, New Zealand and first produced at Circa in October 2005.
