Cairo Knife Fight with AhoriBuzz

The slightly unhinged duo of Nick Gaffaney and Aaron Tokona are joining forces for three intimate shows in the South Island mid July. Both make up Cairo Knife Fight and also combine together at times to become AhoriBuzz.

Cairo Knife Fight bend all the rules. With a drummer stepping out of the shadows to lead, and songs that don’t just follow the tried and true but grow and develop as you listen. Nick Gaffaney and Aaron Tokona are a band to set your heart on fire, two guys that make enough noise for eight, a mix of Zeppelin meets Radiohead.

AhoriBuzz is a jam band of sorts. You never quite know how things are going to roll when AhoriBuzz plays. The solo project and brainchild of the enigmatic Aaron Tokona, AhoriBuzz features a constant revolving line-up of talented musicians. But for these shows it will be just the two of them, Aaron and Nick in a reversal of roles that exploits and exposes their talents to the full. Think Stevie Wonder on acid.

To miss these shows would be a musical crime!
