The inaugural 2011 3-day national animal rights conference is here! Over 20 inspiring national and international campaigners, workshops, presentations, stalls and a political debate, not to mention lavish vegan catering! This is your chance to become part of a national movement to improve the status of animals in New Zealand. Be there!
Over 100 years ago, Mark Twain wrote "The fact that man knows right from wrong proves his intellectual superiority to the other creatures; but the fact that he can do wrong proves his moral inferiority to any creatures that cannot."
The 2011 National Animal Rights Conference celebrates courageous individuals standing up for their beliefs and challenging injustice in defence of animals. Thanks to Mark Twain and compassionate individuals alike, our society now widely accepts that animals do matter and are capable of suffering as much as we are.
The theme for this year's conference is Why Animals Matter. SAFE is proud to launch this year's conference with a high-profile international event showcasing animal rights in New Zealand. Held at Auckland's prestigious Town Hall, it's not to be missed!
This year's conference will attract New Zealand's largest gathering of animal rights advocates and supporters. It will unite a community who embrace compassion and respect towards all animals. We hope to see you there!
* Twenty prominent and inspiring national speakers
* Six leading international campaigners
* Live political debate with Wallace Chapman
