National animal advocacy organisation SAFE is proud to announce and host the Why Animals Matter special event at the prestigious Auckland Town Hall. Join us for an event comprising some of Australasia’s most prominent and successful animal advocates.
The night will showcase two international speakers; Lyn White unveils how the suspension of live cattle exports was recently achieved in Australia, while US-based Lauren Ornelas inspires us to consider why our food choices can change the world.
Local heroes will have their say too! Just how did Carl Scott endure one month in a cage for battery hens? SAFE director Hans Kriek will explain why New Zealand must put a halt to factory farming now.
You won't want to miss the night’s one-of-a-kind, lively debate between four distinguished political party candidates. Hosted by provocative Back Benchers presenter Wallace Chapman, debaters will hotly contend whether New Zealanders really do love animals.
Some of the country’s most respected and well-known animal lovers will share their personal experiences on why animals matter.
Information and cruelty-free living stalls open and vegan refreshments served from 6pm.
