Get a taste for the performing arts.

Experience it: Performance 11am – 11.45am.
Do it: Workshop 12 noon – 12.45pm.

Mid-winter Saturday mornings have more to offer than just being rugged up on the sideline.

From 11 June, Public Programmes at The Edge is bringing back Pick & Mix for 2011, with free performances and workshops designed for the whole family to enjoy.

Every Saturday from 11 June until 27 August Pick & Mix is offering the chance to experience a wide range of arts and cultural events from New Zealand’s top performing arts companies and artists. Whether it’s dancing with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, learning to play the ukulele, making balloon animals or enjoying some good old fashioned story telling, Pick & Mix is the perfect start to the weekend.

Set in a relaxed environment where audience members can freely come and go, each performance starts at 11am and runs for 45mins with a free workshop with the performers after the show running from 12 noon to 12.45pm.

In 12 weeks you, your children, your grand children and your friends can take up the challenge of learning the art of African drumming, make musical magic with the NZSO, or learn to sing and dance like the stars with Auckland Music Theatre - and it’s all free!

Pick & Mix has something for everyone of any age, especially the young at heart. Come and join in the fun or just relax and be entertained. It’s all happening on the house and we want you to be part of it.

This Saturday:
Prestige Dance Crew
Prestige Dance Crew is a highly respected New Zealand urban dance group. They will give an amazing performance, showcasing their skills and why they have won awards all over the world.
Workshop: 12 noon
Join the Prestige Crew to learn some of the moves that they have become famous for.
